Great commercial photography takes skill, passion, knowledge & great kit, this studio combines it all.

Education
Prior to becoming a pro photographer I worked in trade and consumer publishing ~ I know what it takes to look good in print. During this time I obtained a BTEC in Photography at The City of Westminster College, (this was pre-digital.) I’ve also gained Licentiateship of the British Institute of Pro Photography and Associateship of the Royal Photography Society.

Award Winning Photography
I’ve won many awards both creative and photographic as well as the titles: AGFA Digital Portrait Photographer of the Year and The Kodak Pets Photographer of the Year. (Please view ‘Awards’ for more info.)

The Studio
This has a certain ‘charm’ but it‘s certainly not all chrome and glass, it’s a place where even the most nervous clients quickly feel at home. Tea/coffee, a monster tv and the latest ‘studio kit’ : Bailey the cat.

Kit - In the Studio
In the studio I use a pro digital back which produces images with extraordinary detail & results that can be enlarged to A2-A1 ~ perfect for instore/exhibition display. (Images are approx 16mb and provide 50/60 mb files.)

Kit - On Location
On location, I use Nikon, which means that I can shoot using available light even in very in low light conditions and capture 9 frames per second (very handy for shooting stuff that runs away from me.) My long lenses allow me to shoot candids from afar, perfect for when it’s best to be unobtrusive.

My clients deserve the best and you only get that from continual investment ~ I regularly upgrade my equipment.

Lighting
I use the finest (Swiss made) Elinchrom studio lighting, which produces even lighting which is very flattering.

Retouching & Printing
I personally undertake all post processing, including retouching. I can also print fine art images up to A2+.
